The Good, The Bad & The Muddy..............

Off Road Club are a fantastic group of like minded readers that have made  the jump to do another Red Light Ride not a hard decision at all.  They have done some very interesting rider reviews that you can read by following this link................

After the ride we recieved so many emails - I have just put in a few for you  to read through;

G'day Mel and team,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you all for an outstanding ride on the weekend. I cant even begin to imagine all the work that
everyone put in to get it up and running, and I sincerely hope it was worth the effort for you. Please pass on our appreciation to everyone who helped make it happen.

I rode with 5 other blokes from up our way ( near Ballarat ) and we all had an unreal time. We stayed at the pub on the Friday and Saturday nights
which made it a terrific weekend away for us all. The great track you managed to put together was appreciated by all of us, despite our differing
skill levels.

I hope you manage to get the energy to have another crack at it next year, and we will be keen as mustard to join in the fun again.

Hope you all enjoy a well deserved break !! Thanks again.

Cheers

Mark

Hi guys, got back to the grind on Monday morning after a great weekend.  Thought I would give you a bit of feedback for future rides.

*      Advertsing and website was good, would be an advantage to be able to register and PAY on-line and do away with the manual rego forms

*      Didn't see any flyers in the bike shops in my travels???

*      A map and detailed directions would have been handy

*      A lot of my crew didn't come due to the cost of the event - mentioned that if it was $100 it would have been better.  Also a lot of them are in the Car and Bike industry and work on a Saturday so a Sunday would be better for them

*      The camping site next to the pub was perfect and the publican, CFA crew and the locals made us feel very welcome

*      The band was great and the fire was awesome

*      Access to the ride site wasn't very well signed and when we got there we had to park off site as it was too slippery - did a great job putting the rock down though

*      The ride itself was the best I have been on over the three years I have been riding - varied terrain, courteous riders and a great format with short but many loops

*      I think you should have a fully enclosed tent for Mel to do the registrations (thought I'd throw that one in Mel)

Overall the 7 guys from Geelong thoroughly enjoyed the ride and look forward to the next one.

Regards

Possibly a couple of hills, and alternate routes for those that struggle with it?
And bike wash  to blast the mud off with the truck before putting them on the trailer. My bike's never been so dirty! I woulda paid it in a heartbeat. lol. Congrats to all the organisers, you did an awesome job and were all very approachable.
This was the only organised ride this year - but i'm looking around for more to do., Its is to me, as i always ride in groups. if someone goes down its good to be there as a team and pick up the pieces. and its good for a laugh too. can't talk about the day the same if you didnt go through the same stuff together, First up i read it on a forum - then the other forms of advertising after that, I put my name in for subscribing - but never received any mail - but my girlfriend kept me up to date, so yeah i suppose it was all good enough to get me there, Yeah i think it was pretty reliable, if i had any questions i scanned the site before going further, mostly it was pretty good.
